In May 2020, during the global pandemic, P4P partnered with the CAPS Network and it's affiliated to bring a 4-day online event to students of ages everywhere.  Virtual Career featured 20+ speakers and drew over 1,600 registered viewers of all ages.

David Lantz, Group Lead for the Advance Mission Planning Team, NASA - Flight Operations
He does what??? As a member of the Flight Operations team at NASA, David will take you on a journey through his experiences as a Flight Controller in Johnson Space Center Mission Control. Plus hear about his experience with teams that have flown the Space Shuttle, International Space Station (ISS), and Orion spacecraft. Also how he is working to put people back on the moon and then to Mars.

The Next Generation in Agriculture

There is a need for careers in agriculture and more specifically agricultural finance. There is a demand for the next generation of leaders in agriculture, both on the farm and in the sectors supporting the farmer/rancher. During these unprecedented times, it has never been more clear how essential the food and agriculture sector is to the economy. Plus how to safely and securely feeding the world.

The Career Journey from Iowa to Space

Raja Chari, Astronaut, NASA - Astronaut Class XXII
Raja Chari was selected by NASA to join the 2017 Astronaut Candidate Class. He reported for duty in August 2017, completed the initial astronaut candidate training and is now eligible for a mission assignment. The Waterloo (IA) Columbus Catholic alumni graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1999 with bachelor's degrees in Astronautical Engineering and Engineering Science. He continued on to earn a master's degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and graduated from the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School.
